Boulter Industrial Contractors, Inc. is Hiring a Human Resource Generalist Near Webster, NY

Position: :Human Resources Generalist
Reports To: :President
Compensation: : $58,000-$75,000
Job Summary: :This employee is responsible for performing all Human Resource related duties on a professional level. The employee is responsible for working closely with the owner as it relates to both union and non-union human resource obligations.
Essential Job Duties::
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Performs benefits administration for both union and non-union employees to include, ACA compliance, claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 and VETS-100 reports annually; maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Administers non-union employee health, welfare, and retirement plans company wide. Benefit programs include: 401 (k) Retirement Plan, medical/dental, income protection, short-term disability, long-term disability, workers' compensation, leave of absence, Uniform Program, etc.
  • Acts as liaison between employees, insurance providers and to resolve benefit related problems and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations.
  • Conducts new employee onboarding at headquarters to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions. Counsels employees (and potential employees/applicants) on plan provisions so that individuals can inform benefit decisions. This includes all levels of employees including executives.
  • Performs recruitment activities, interviews, and evaluates candidates for select positions. Establish a relationship with union business agents. Understand current collective bargaining agreements. Become involved in local union issues and ROBEX that can help Boulter. Maintains records related to same.
  • Establish hiring needs of business in conjunction with Project Manager & office needs. Make recommendations for new hires to the owner. Become part of Project Manager meetings for maintaining staffing needs
Job duties may include::
  • Annual MVR, Medical certificate expirations, driver qualification files
  • Managing the weekly toolbox talks with safety and field employees.
  • Continuing path of current leadership program with employees.
  • Backup for weekly payroll
Qualifications::
  • Minimum five years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Experience managing benefit programs and administrative issues.
  • Higher level reasoning skills.
  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • Provide management with detailed reporting in timely manner.
  • Excellent listening skills.
